Review of season so far
To date in my track season there have been many highlights for me. I gained my first GB vest when selected for the World Junior Championships Canada, where in the final I finished 6th and got a PB. Another highlight for me was winning my first national junior title, when winning the 1500m at the Under 20 Champs. With the remaining weeks of the season I would like to improve my 1500m PB further as well as improve on my 800m and 400m PBs. The Original Source Heroes project has been a great help this year in providing some financial backing that I have been able to pay for my travel costs to many of the races I have done including Bedford for World Junior trials and Manchester where I ran the qualifying time, as well as towards my fairs to training sessions.
Blog – World Juniors
My first GB international was at the World Junior Championships in Canada, July 2010. It was an amazing trip and great experience, I have learned alot that I can take with me to future championships and races, from the little things like taking my laptop to use in my free time when resting to the call room procedure and warm up length. My heat was at 9am, so I had to cope with eating breakfast at 5 30 am and being able to race so early in the morning. In the final I was 6th and got a PB, I couldn’t have asked for anymore. At the start of the season I said I would have been happy as long as I make the final but once you have ran and step of the track you want more!!
