Sevenoaks Triathlon
Original Source love getting involved in the great outdoors and this year we are going into partnership with the Sevenoaks Triathlon - which is a fantastic event in September. Our very own Annie has already signed up - so look out for her as our rep from team Original Source! The Sevenoaks Triathlon won 'Event of the Year (500 entries)' in 2009, so we're all really excited to be able to get involved in 2010. The popular, twice a year event sold out again for the next event on Sunday 19th September in less than four days!! Good job Annie managed to bag a place early!
Competitors swim 400 metres in the pool before cycling the hilly 25 km. The longest climb on the bike course lasts for over a mile but the athletes are rewarded by stunning countryside to help them forget the physical challenge. After entering transition for the second time, they exchange bike and helmet for running shoes to tackle the 8km run through the stunning Knole Park. The run is described as 'undulating' thus ensuring that at the finish the competitors fully deserve their medal! Look out for some Original Source freebies when you finish too.
